A Unique Vision
Documenting the Transition of Chicago's Architecture
Grace Lai is a colorful Chicago Artist, specializing in the historical "on-site" documentation of Chicago's ever evolving architecture.
Her spectacular paintings capture the dramatic demolition and ongoing gargantuan construction of Chicago's skyline.
Her paintings of Pen & Ink with Watercolor wash are proudly displayed in many fine establishments: Six of Grace's originals are a part of the Amoco Oil Corporation's permanent collection in Naperville, Illinois. The new Northwestern hospital's Fineberg pavilion's 14th floor, hosts several of Grace's works, as does the Department of Buildings, (Room 900), in Chicago's City Hall.
Grace is the official artist of the Chicagoland Construction Safety Council, in Hillside, Illinois, and a member of the American Subcontractor's Association. She is a graduate of the American Academy of Art, member of the Chicago Artist's Coalition, Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Art, Senior Artists' Network, and has WBE/MBE certification, City and State.
